The IES Albany Section is proud to present our February 2023, AIA Presentation – ‘DARK SKY: THE IMPLICATIONS OF LIGHT POLLUTION AND THE IMPACT OF IDA.’ Presented by Kathy Waterous with Moxie Lighting. Kathy has 25 years in the lighting and electrical distribution industries and has a wide range of product knowledge and experience. She started out in the industry working for an electrical distributor as a computer operator and began her career in lighting by helping Eastern States Electric open their new lighting showroom. After working for ESES for two years she went on to work for Red Hook Electrical Supply for 16 years managing their lighting showroom, working the electrical counter and outside sales. She then went on to work for Lightolier/Genlyte for three years as a factory direct specification salesperson and territory manager. Kathy has since worked as a specification salesperson for various lighting manufacturer’s representative agencies finally landing at Moxie Lighting. Throughout her career in the lighting and distribution industries she earned her master’s degree in psychology from SUNY New Paltz.
